West Palm Beach, FL- The Falcons baseball team is on fire and the rest of the state is starting to take notice of one of Palm Beach County’s most talented squads. After 4 straight wins, the Falcons are now ranked 9th in the state in the most recent class 8A state rankings released by theprepzone.com. In addition, the Falcons are ranked 10th overall in all classes in Palm Beach County according to the latest High School Baseball Network power rankings. At 15-6 on the season, the Falcons have had a steady balance of timely hitting and solid pitching led by seniors Kylan Barnett and Brad Hammell.

Barnett, who will play college ball at Lyon College in Arkansas next season, leads the Falcons with a .450 batting average and 27 hits. Hammell has been stellar on the mound with a 4-1 record and a 2.01 ERA. His 4 wins, which includes a no hitter earlier in the season against Olympic Heights, leads the team.

The Falcons will be back in action this Saturday at Boynton Beach with the first pitch set to get underway at 11:00 am. On Monday, the Falcons will celebrate senior night against Lake Worth as seniors Hector Perdigon, Rafael DeBrand, Brad Hammell, Kylan Barnett, Luis Garcia, Illesar Cabeza, and Jorge Hernando will be honored for their outstanding contributions to Forest Hill Baseball. Festivities will begin before the game at 6:00 pm and the first pitch is slated at 6:30 pm.
